Remove/install backrest motor for front seat - AR91.29-P-1431SC

MODEL 216.3 

Backrest angle adjustment motor

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove seat-back lining from front seat backrest   AR91.10-P-1910SC 
2 Removing front seat backrest upholstery   AR91.10-P-1090SC 
3 Detach clamping plate (1) from axle (2) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Replace clamping plate (1).  
4 Remove cable tie (3)    
5 Disconnect electrical connector (4) NOTES Release electrical connector (4) carefully, risk of breakage to electrical connector plug (4). The plug is not available as a replacement part.  
6 Detach left front backrest angle adjustment motor (M27/5) or right front backrest angle adjustment motor (M28/5) from the shaft (6) and axle (2) IMPORTANT Observe bearing bushing (5).
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Use suitable pair of pliers (7) to turn shaft (6) far enough until the left front backrest angle adjustment motor (M27/5) or the right front backrest angle adjustment motor (M28/5) can be slipped onto the axle (2). When doing so, protect the shaft (6) against damage using a rag (8).
 
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Normalize front seat    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
