Connecting Rods For Removing And Installing Electric Step - Ar88.30-D-8502TS

IMPORTANT Attention Risk of injury  from cuts or scrapes on sharp-edged vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or in the area of sharp, unburred vehicle parts. Deburr repair panels. AS00.00-Z-0017-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove, install     
1 Disconnect the ground line of the on-board power supply battery. Type 906 AR54.10-D-0003SD
2 Remove the lower part of the housing for the electric step.   AR88.30-D-8501TS 
3 Detach the securing clip (2) of the corresponding connecting rod (1) from the guide pin (5) and remove the washer (3). IMPORTANT Pay attention to the location of the washer (4).
IMPORTANT Instead of the securing clips (2), spring split pins can optionally be installed.
 
4 Remove the securing clip (6) of the corresponding connecting rod (1) from the bolt (9) and remove the washers (7).    
5 Remove the corresponding connecting rod (1) with the respective bolt (9), the washers (8) and the sleeve (11). NOTES
Note the arrangement of the washers (8).
Otherwise the electrical step (10) may malfunction.
 
6 Installation in reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
7 Carry out a functional check of the electrical step (10).
