| 4 | Detach vacuum line (14) from vacuum pump (13) | ||
| 5 | Unclip vacuum line (14) from cover on left cylinder head cover and turn so side | ||

| 7 | Remove right rail (1) | AR07.03-D-1010SF | |
| 8 | Disconnect electrical connector (6) from intake port shutoff actuator (M72) | ||
| 9 | Remove left EKAS end position switch connector (X156/1) from bracket | Engine 642.898 | |
| 10 | Disconnect left EKAS end position switch connector (X156/1) and right EKAS end position switch connector (X156/2) | ||
| 11 | Unscrew bolts (7) on both clamps of connecting line (8) from charge air manifold (9) | ||
| 12 | Unscrew union nut on connecting line (8) from left rail | ||

| 13 | Remove clamp (11) on fuel filter (10) from charge air manifold (9) | ||
| 14 | Disconnect leak oil line (2) on charge air manifold (9) of injectors (arrows) from right cylinder bank and lay leak oil line (2) down to side. | AR07.03-D-9105SF | |
| 15 | Disconnect engine wiring harness (12) on injectors (arrows A) from right cylinder bank and expose | ||
| 16 | Disconnect engine wiring harness (12) from camshaft sensor (B6/24) and expose | ||
| 17 | Disconnect engine wiring harness (12) from glow plugs (arrows B) and expose | Fig 5 | |
| 18 | Disconnect engine wiring harness (12) from coolant temperature sensor (B11/19) | ||
| 19.1 | Expose engine wiring harness (12) and remove cable duct (4) from charge air manifold (9) and lifting eye (5) | Engine 642.898 |

| 20 | Unscrew bolts (17) on intake port shutoff actuator (M72) from charge air manifold (9) | Fig 4 | |
| 21 | Turn intake port shutoff actuator (M72) and unclip clip (18) from left intake port shutoff linkage (19) | ||
| 22 | Turn adjustment lever (22) on intake port shutoff actuator (M72) until clip (20) is accessible in right intake port shutoff linkage (21) and unclip (20) from right intake port shutoff linkage (21) | ||
| 23 | Remove intake port shutoff actuator (M72) | ||
| 24 | Install in the reverse order |
