Remove/install media interface - AR82.60-P-1031CY

MODEL 204.9 as of model year 2013 with CODE 518 (Media interface)

IMPORTANT Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Release center console (1) until it can be lifted   AR68.20-P-2000CW
2 Unclip Media Interface electrical connector (X18/67) and feed through downwards    
3 Pull center console (1) toward rear and out of the instrument panel, then lift    
4 Expose electrical line (12) from center console (1) IMPORTANT To do so, release expansion clip (3) and clamp (4) on inside at center console (1)
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Mount expansion clip (3) and clamp (4) again
 
5 Remove cover (5) below instrument panel   AR68.10-P-1520CW
6 Remove glove box lid (6)   AR68.10-P-1200CY
7 Release floor covering (7)    
8 Disconnect electrical connectors (8, 9) at media interface control unit (N125/1)    
9 Remove radio until electrical connector (10) is accessible   AR82.60-P-7502CY 
10 Disconnect electrical connector (10)    
11 Cut cable tie (11) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace cable tie (11)  
12 Expose electrical wiring harness (12) and remove    
13 Install in the reverse order    
14 Read out and erase the fault memory using Star Diagnosis
