The video or audio source of the COMAND operating, display and controller unit is operated via the COMAND operating, display and controller unit.

IMPORTANT When the left rear display is switched on, the "AUX" menu item can only be called up on the left rear display.

When the right rear display is switched on, the "AUX" menu item can only be called up on the right rear display.

Video unit detected function sequence

The left rear display, right rear display or DVD player automatically detects that a video unit has been connected via the respective AUX jack.

Based on the data transferred by the video unit, the left rear display generates the analog or digital audio signals and the digital picture signals for the user interface of the "AUX" menu item on the screen of the left rear display.

Based on the data transferred by the video unit, the right rear display generates the analog or digital audio signals and the digital picture signals for the user interface of the "AUX" menu item on the screen of the right rear display.

The DVD player generates the analog audio and picture signals for the user interface of the "AUX" menu item on the screen of the respective display based on data transferred by the video unit.

The menus and submenus of the "AUX" menu item are displayed for the rear passenger(s) on the screen of the respective display (see operating instructions).

The rear passenger(s) can now perform additional control operations or settings using the above-specified controls on the remote control (see Operating instructions).

Audio unit detected function sequence

The left rear display, right rear display or DVD player automatically detects that an audio unit has been connected via the respective AUX jack.

Based on the data transferred by the audio unit, the left rear display generates the analog or digital audio signals and the digital picture signals for the user interface of the "AUX" menu item on the screen of the left rear display.

Based on the data transferred by the audio unit, the right rear display generates the analog or digital audio signals and the digital picture signals for the user interface of the "AUX" menu item on the screen of the right rear display.

The DVD player generates the analog audio and picture signals for the user interface of the "AUX" menu item on the screen of the respective display based on data transferred by the audio unit.

The menus and submenus of the "AUX" menu item are displayed for the rear passenger(s) on the screen of the respective display (see operating instructions).

These digital audio signals are transferred via the IR interface of the respective display and the IR interface of the connected headphones to these headphones (cordless).

Volume can only be adjusted via the volume control integrated in the respective headphones.

IMPORTANT When headphones (cable-connected) are connected via the headphone jacks integrated in the respective displays, the analog audio signals are transferred to the headphones via the headphone cable by the respective display. The volume is adjusted via the "Volume +/-" control on the remote control. Additionally, the preset volume can be regulated via the volume control of the particular headphones. The signals from the "Volume +/-" control on the remote control are transferred via the IR interface on the remote control to the respective display.
