Function
The upper control panel control unit reads in the status of the rotary light switch via LIN and transmits this to the front SAM control unit via CAN-B.
The front SAM control unit in response actuates the xenon headlamp control units accordingly. The xenon headlamp control units generate an ignition auxiliary voltage and pass this on to the bi-xenon lamps with integrated ignition module.
The bi-xenon lamps with integrated ignition module generate the ignition voltage required for igniting the xenon bulbs.
When successfully ignited, the bi-xenon lamps with integrated ignition module are supplied with operating voltage by the xenon headlamp control units.
