Function
The upper control panel control unit reads in the status of the rotary light switch via LIN and transmits this to the front SAM control unit via CAN-B.
The front SAM control unit in response actuates the xenon headlamp supply modules accordingly.
The xenon headlamp supply modules generate an ignition auxiliary voltage and pass this on to the xenon headlamp ignition modules. For their part, the xenon headlamp ignition modules generate the ignition voltage required for igniting the xenon bulbs.
When successfully ignited, the xenon headlamps are supplied with operating voltage by the xenon headlamp supply modules.
