	Remove/install
1	Remove ashtray housing (2) at front on center console (1)	Check ashtray housing mechanism (2) for proper function, if necessary loosen threaded connection of center console (1) and tighten center console (1) without tension.	AR68.20-P-2400GZ
2	Remove front beverage holder (3)		AR68.20-P-2240GZ
3	Completely move front seats toward rear
4	Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit	On vehicles with code 889 Keyless-Go: Press Keyless-Go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).
5	Unlock armrest cover and position vertically
6	Unclip bolt caps (5)		Figure
7	Remove bolts (6)	Ensure that center console (1) is installed without tension.
8	Remove bolts (7)	Ensure that center console (1) is installed without tension.
9	Unclip clip (8)	Unclip upward.
10	Disconnect electrical connector (9, 10, 11, 12)
11	Pull center console (1) toward rear, lift and remove	Remove through front door.
12	Install in the reverse order
