| 4 | Remove passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11) with passenger-side fuse and relay module (K40/4) | AR54.21-P-1261R | |
| 5 | Remove bolts (1) and upper part of housing (7) of fuse and relay box (6) | ||
| 6 | Identify installation position of wiring harnesses and expose wiring harnesses | ||
| 7 | Remove right-hand door sill trim (2) | ||
| 8 | Remove right floor covering in footwell | ||
| 9 | Remove cover below instrument panel on right | AR68.10-P-1520R | |
| 10 | Fold back floor covering in the area of the footrest on the front passenger-side, expose and remove footrest | ||
| 11 | Remove rear subwoofer behind the footrest | On vehicles with code (810) Sound system | |
| 12 | Open cover (3) and detach electrical line (positive line) (4) from the front prefuse box (F32) | *BA54.15-P-1001-01A | |
| 13 | Expose the remaining wiring harnesses up to the nearest available separation point and lead out of the lower part of the housing (8) of the fuse and relay box (6) | On vehicles with code (219) Distronic (DTR) or code (228) stationary heater on left-hand drive vehicles or code (220) Parktronic system (PTS) on right-hand vehicles | |
