Remove/install Parktronic system (PTS) sensors in rear bumper - AR54.65-P-0002R

MODEL 230.4 with CODE (220) Parktronic System (PTS) 

Shown on vehicle up to 28.1.08 without code (809) Model year 2009

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1.1 Remove ram strip (1) from rear bumper (2) For vehicles up to 28.1.08 without code (809) Model year 2009 AR88.80-P-2220R
1.2 Remove rear bumper (2) For vehicles as of 29.1.08 or with code (809) Model year 2009 AR88.20-P-2200R
2 Expose sensor (A43b7, A43b8, A43b9, A43b10) and detach electrical connector    
3.1 Release lugs (3) using the release tool towards the direction of the arrow and remove sensors (A43b7, A43b8, A43b9, A43b10) For vehicles up to 28.1.08 without code (809) Model year 2009
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Check sealing ring (4) and replace if damaged.

3.2 Unclip sensor (A43b7, A43b8, A43b9, A43b10) by hand from rear bumper (2) and remove For vehicles as of 29.1.08 or with code (809) Model year 2009
IMPORTANT Unclip sensor (A43b7, A43b8, A43b9, A43b10) at lugs (3).
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Check sealing ring (4) and replace if damaged.
 
4 Install in the reverse order
