Preparations for distance and comparison measurements - AR40.30-P-0401T

REMOVING Removing     
1 Align the vehicle IMPORTANT Align the vehicle horizontally in the longitudinal direction by loading with weights as appropriate.
Measure the inclination across the door sills, e.g. using a spirit level		  
2.1 Detach lower engine compartment paneling Vehicles with gasoline engine

2.2 Remove bottom section of soundproofing Vehicles with diesel engine

3 Remove the left and right underfloor paneling upstream of the rear axle Model 211 AR61.30-P-1001T

4 Screw in threaded bolt (07n) of SPECIAL TOOL mount (07) with shims (1) IMPORTANT Use washers (1), to ensure that the threaded stud (07n) fits correctly into the rear engine crossmember (63).

5 SPECIAL TOOL Insert suspension (07) horizontally and adjust supports (07r, 07s) to meet specified dimensions   AR40.30-P-0401-01T 
6 SPECIAL TOOL Insert telescopic measuring rod (06) with connecting parts onto retaining bolt using bubble level (024b) IMPORTANT Use relevant measuring bolt and measuring tip (024) for the corresponding distance or comparison measurement.

MEASURING Measure     
7 Carry out distance and comparison measurements on front and rear axles   AR40.30-P-0402T 
INSTALLING Install     
8 SPECIAL TOOL Detach cradle (07 SPECIAL TOOL ) and threaded bolts (07n)    
9 Screw in bolts of rear engine crossmember (63) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 211 *BA22.10-P-1005-03A 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 219 with engine 113, 156, 272, 273 *BA22.10-P-1006-01S 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 219 with engine 642 *BA22.10-P-1003-01D 
10 Install underfloor paneling Model 211 AR61.30-P-1001T
Model 219 AR61.30-P-1001TX
11.1 Install lower engine compartment paneling Vehicles with gasoline engine
