	Remove/install
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
	When working on the front-end assembly, be careful not to scratch, mark or notch the surfaces of aluminum parts. Otherwise the service life of the parts will be affected
	Only tighten nuts and bolts of chassis components when vehicle is in a ready-to-drive condition.
1	Empty front spring strut using STAR DIAGNOSIS	Vehicles with AIRmatic (semi-active air suspension), code 489

2	Remove front wheel
	Remove/install wheels		AP40.10-P-4050Z
3	Press follower joint (8) out of steering knuckle (5)	Secure steering knuckle (5) to prevent it from swinging away. The brake hose and electrical feed cables must not be stretched.	AR33.20-P-0500-01N

7	Inspect follower joint (8).	If necessary, replace follower joint (8) or upper transverse control arm (6).	AR33.20-P-0425I

9.1	Remove air filter housing (9a)

9.2	Remove combination filter housing (9b).
