Pushing off

Unscrew self-locking nut from follower joint (8).
Screw the thrust washer (043a) onto the support joint (8).
Thrust piece 210 589 04 63 00 (model 211, 215, 220, 230 without code (P99) Special model "AMG Black Series")

Thrust piece 140 589 00 63 00 (model 230 with code (P99) Special model "AMG Black Series")

Press off the follower joint (8) with the puller (043).
Do not damage rubber boot or stainless steel contact ring otherwise the upper ball joint (8) must be replaced.

Observe variant of upper ball joint (8) (only model 211, 230).

Puller 202 589 02 33 00 (model 211, 215, 220, 230 without code (P99) Special model "AMG Black Series") for upper ball joint without stainless steel contact ring.

Puller 140 589 00 33 00 (model 211, 230 without code (P99) Special model "AMG Black Series") for upper ball joint with stainless steel contact ring.

Puller 221 589 00 33 00 (model 230 with code (P99) Special model "AMG Black Series")
Remove puller (043) and thrust piece (043a).
Attaching
Clean tapered connection.
There must be no grease or oil on the taper and thread in order to guarantee a faultless connection.
Replace self-locking nut and screw on .
