	Remove/Install
	Risk of injury caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Remove headliner		AR68.30-P-4300TD
2	Remove left and right hinge cover (2) and cover (3)	See ↓
		Remove/install covers on rear-end door sealing frame	AR88.80-P-0003T
3	Remove hinge paneling (4) from hinge (1)	Installation: Replace damaged retaining clips on hinge paneling (4).
4	Install support for rear-end door		*170589046300
	Injury hazard Gas-operated struts are under high pressure and can pinch and crush body parts during work	Only remove and install gas-operated struts in the relaxed position and when the components are secured properly.	AS00.00-Z-0012-01A
5	Lift retainer on gas-operated strut ball head (5) with suitable screwdriver and unclip gas-operated strut (5) from hinge (1)
6.1	Unclip trunk lid/rear-end door opening angle detection sensor (B24/16) from right hinge (1)	When removing right hinge (1) from vehicles with code (890) Automatic rear-end door
7.1	Unclip automatic rear-end door hydraulic cylinder (6) from left hinge (1)	When removing left hinge (1) from vehicles with code (890) Automatic rear-end door
8	Mark installation position of hinge (1) on rear-end door (7) and roof frame (8)
9	Install suitable guard between rear spoiler and roof	To avoid paint damage
10	Unscrew nuts (9).		*BA72.20-P-1011-02A
11	Unscrew bolt (10)	Support rear-end door (7) with aid of second mechanic Installation: Repair paint damage on screw head with suitable paint pin.

12	Unscrew bolts (11) and remove hinge (1)	Support rear-end door (7) with aid of second mechanic Installation: Repair paint damage at screw heads with suitable paint pin.

13	Install in the reverse order
14	Check rear-end door (7) adjustment, adjust rear-end door (7) if necessary.		AR72.20-P-3510T
