Remove/install engine hood - AR88.40-P-3000V

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
1 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position   AR88.40-P-1000V 
2 Unscrew bolts (2) from cover (3) and remove cover (3)    
3 Unclip wash water hose (4) from left and right windshield washer nozzle (5) and disconnect electrical connector (6) from left and right windshield washer nozzle (5).    
4 Remove chafe guard (7) on left and right on engine hood (1) NOTESInstallation:  Ensure that chafe guards (7) are seated correctly in engine hood (1), otherwise the wash water hose (4) and the wiring harness for the windshield washer nozzle heater can be damaged.  
5 Remove wash water hose (4) and wiring harness for windshield washer nozzle heater from engine hood (1) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Route wash water hose (4) and wiring harness for windshield washer nozzle heater through engine hood with aids (1) such as welding wire and observe installation position  
6 Detach both gas pressure struts from engine hood   AR88.40-P-3010V 
7 Unscrew bolts (8) from left and right engine hood hinge (9) IMPORTANT Helper required for securing engine hood (1).
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Fasten engine hood (1) with bolts (8). Tighten bolts (8) after adjusting engine hood (1)
 
8 Remove engine hood (1) and put down on suitable subsurface IMPORTANT Helper required  
9 Install in the reverse order    
10 Adjust engine hood (1)   AR88.40-P-3020V 
11 Repair paint damage on bolt heads with touch-up stick
