Function prerequisites:
- Circuit 30
The entrance and exit lamp for the left door (E17/3) or the entrance and exit lamp for the right door (E17/4) is switched on as soon as the respective door is opened. The entrance and exit lamp for the left door (E17/3) or the entrance and exit lamp for the right door (E17/4) is switched off as soon as the respective door is closed. The rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) reads the signal from the left door contact switch (S17/3) and the right door contact switch (S17/4). This status is transmitted over the Control Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B) to the overhead control panel control unit (N70).
The overhead control panel control unit (N70), acting as the master, discretely actuates the entrance and exit lamp for the left door (E17/3) via the left door control unit (N69/1) or the entrance and exit lamp for the right door (E17/4) via the right door control unit (N69/2). During switching, these lamps are not dimmed. When the door is open, the entrance and exit lamp for the left door (E17/3) or the entrance and exit lamp for the right door (E17/4) switches off automatically after 5 minutes.
The on time is increased or restarted under the following conditions:
- There is a status change at the left door contact switch (S17/3) or the right door contact switch (S17/4).
- Terminal 15 is activated.
- The vehicle is locked or unlocked.
