Door contact switch, location/task/design/function - GF82.20-P-4102SK

Door contact switches, position The left door contact switch (S17/3) and the right door contact switch (S17/4) are located in the corresponding B-pillar at the latch striker level.
Door contact switches, task The left door contact switch (S17/3) and the right door contact switch (S17/4) are used to detect the "open" or "closed" status of the vehicle doors as an electrical signal.
Door contact switches, design The left door contact switch (S17/3) and the right door contact switch (S17/4) are of the "normally closed contact" type. This means that when a door is closed, its switching contact is open.
Function of door contact switches When a door is open, the left door contact switch (S17/3) and the right door contact switch (S17/4) sets the corresponding input from the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) to circuit 31.
