| 1 | Move front seat backrest and front seat completely toward front. | ||
| 2 | Loosen edge guard (1) at front and rear in area of upper B-pillar (2) and lower B-pillar paneling (3). | ||
| 3 | Loosen cap (4) and unscrew nut (5). | ||
| 4 | Unclip cover (6) | ||
| 5.1 | Disconnect electrical connectors from belt tension sensor (48/3) | On front passenger seat and vehicle with code (494) USA version. | |
| 6 | Remove belt end fitting (7) from front seat | ||

| 7 | Press off upper B-pillar paneling (2) with mounting wedge and remove | ||
