Remove/install throttle valve actuator - AR07.61-P-1401GZ (ML500)

	Remove/install
	Risk of injury caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within operating range of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Open engine hood and raise to vertical position		AR88.40-P-1000GZ
2	Remove air filter housing		AR09.10-P-1150GZ
3	Remove hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5)		AR07.07-P-1454GZ
4	Disconnect electrical connector in feed line throttle valve actuator (M16/6)	Do not disconnect plug from throttle valve actuator as it is bonded. The electrical connections on throttle valve actuator (M16/6) and on air recirculation flap actuator are identical and can be interchanged. The wiring harness of throttle valve actuator is marked with a blue insulating tape (arrow). If this is not the case, mark wiring harness before disconnecting electrical connector. Installation: Coat electrical connector with contact fluid.

6	Take out throttle valve actuator (M16/6)	Installation: Install new gasket
7	Install in the reverse order
8	Read out fault memory and erase if required	STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnostic system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
	Connect up STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
