Removing/installing hot film mass air flow sensor together with the air intake pipe - AR07.07-P-1454GZ

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removing/installing    
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position   AR88.40-P-1000GZ
2 Remove air cleaner housing (1).   AR09.10-P-1150GZ
3 Remove the electrical connector (2) at the hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5)    
4 Detach vent line (3) from hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5)    
5 Release vent line (4) from bracket at hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5).    
6 Open top catch (5) at top of hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5)    
7 Use a hook to pull up bottom catch (6) at top of air intake connection (7) IMPORTANT To do this, push the hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) as far back as possible, until the lower catch (6) cannot latch again.  
8 Use a screwdriver to press down lock (8) on the air intake connection (7) IMPORTANT To do this, push the hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) as far back as possible, until the catch (8) cannot latch again.  
9 Remove hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) from throttle valve actuator IMPORTANTInstallation:  Check sealing ring (9), replace if required. Check the sealing ring between air inlet connection (7) and hot film mass air flow sensor, replace if required. Check upper lock (5), lower lock (6) and lock (8); replace locks or air intake connections (7) as required.  
10 Unclip pneumatic line on AIR management control system from brackets on the air intake connection (7)    
11 Install in reverse order    
12.1 Read out fault memory and erase if required IMPORTANT When replacing the hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect up STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A

DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns when working in engine during starting procedure Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

13 Conduct engine test run and check the intake system for leaks NOTES If a leak is found, determine the cause and rectify, otherwise engine malfunctions may result.
