	Risk of injury caused by fingers being pinched or crushed when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, tailgates or sliding roof.	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of lifting platform and position four support plates at lifting platform support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of explosion caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns caused by swallowing battery acid. 1	Disconnect ground line from battery	Insulate clamp of ground line as a protection against unintentional contact of dismounted ground line with ground point of battery. Vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Switch engine off, remove Keyless-Go cards from the vehicle and store outside of the transmitter range.

3	Remove front engine cover	Do not tilt front engine cover, but lift upwards vertically otherwise the retaining lugs can break off.
4	Remove right and left intake air duct
5	Unclip engine wiring harness clip on alternator (G2)

7	Remove lower engine compartment paneling	Model 164	AR61.20-P-1105GZ

8	Remove poly-V-belt		AR13.22-P-1202GZS
9	Drain coolant from radiator		AR20.00-P-1142GZS
10	Remove lower coolant hose on water pump	For model 251 the coolant hose must also be disconnected from the expansion reservoir.
11	Disconnect oil heat exchanger oil line at flange connection	Check engine oil level.
12	Remove cap (1) and disconnect circuit 30 electrical line (B+) (3) at alternator (G2) by unscrewing nut (2).		*BA15.40-P-1002-01P
13	Remove electrical line plug of circuit 61 (D+) (4) from the alternator (G2)
14	Remove bolts (5) on alternator (G2)	Installation: Screw ground strap back on again.

15	Take generator (G2) down and out
16	Install in the reverse order
