Remove/install windshield washer system pump - AR82.35-P-6002T

MODIFICATION NOTES

14.1.04 Disconnect/connect/remove ground lead from battery
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1 Lift vehicle on lifting platform.    
2 Detach right front road wheel TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA40.10-P-1001-01A 
3 Remove liner from right front fender IMPORTANT See:
Remove/install inner fender in front fender
AR88.10-P-1300T
4 Disconnect electrical connector (1).    
5.1 Separate electrical connector (2) Only on vehicles with
Code (600a) headlamp cleaning system
 
6 Detach washer fluid hose (3) from the window washer fluid pump (M5/1) IMPORTANT Collect washer fluid which flows out.  
7 Unclip bracket (4) from washer fluid reservoir (5)    
8 Use a mounting wedge to push off the windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1) from the washer fluid reservoir (5) IMPORTANT Note correct installation positions.
SPECIAL TOOL
 
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Replace gasket (6). Figure
9 Install in the reverse order    
10 Fill washer fluid reservoir (5)    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Check windshield washing unit fluid level, top up if necessary   AP82.35-P-8210N
11 Check windshield washer system for proper function IMPORTANT Switch on ignition and check the function of the window washer fluid pump (M5/1) by pressing the combination switch. A sufficient quantity of washer fluid must spray out of the spray nozzles.
