Remove/install air pump - AR14.30-P-7251TS

ENGINE 272, 273 (except 272.985) in MODEL 211, 219

	Remove/install
1	Switch ignition off, remove ignition key (transmitter key)	On vehicles with code 889 Keyless-Go: Press Keyless-Go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off. Remove Keyless Go transmitter card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond transmitter range (min. 2 m).
2	Pull out front engine cover (1) from mounts
3	Drain coolant at radiator	Engine 273	AR20.00-P-1142TS
4	Unfasten coolant pipe from coolant thermostat and front cover on left cylinder head and lay to one side	Engine 273

5	Remove bolts (4) and detach the bracket (2) of front engine cover (1) from front cover of the right cylinder head and from bracket (3) of the electric air pump (M33)		*BA14.30-P-1001-01D
6	Remove air intake hose (5) on electric air pump (M33)
7	Disconnect electrical connector (6) at electric air pump (M33)
8	Remove bolts (7) and detach the bracket (3) of the electric air pump (M33) from the cylinder head and from the timing case cover		*BA14.30-P-1002-01D
9	Detach air hoses (8, 9) from electric air pump (M33)
10	Remove electrical air pump (M33) with bracket (3)
11	Detach electric air pump (M33) from bracket (3)	When replacing electric air pump (M33) Installation:  Check rubber bearing bushings on bracket (3) for damage and wear; replace rubber bearing bushes if necessary.

12	Install in the reverse order
13	Read out fault memory
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
