Phone call acceptance, function - GF82.70-P-2009G

MODEL 463.247 /248 /254 /270 /303 /340 /341 up to 31.8.08 with CODE (EH1) Mobile phone with cradle and hands-free system with CODE (EV8) Mobile phone preinstallation as of model year 2007 model year 07.5, YoM 07

A call is accepted and rejected via:

IMPORTANT With model 463.249/271 it is only possible to operate audio, telephone and navigation components via the multifunction steering wheel button groups as of model year 07.5, YoM 07.

Call signal function sequence 

The mobile phone receives a call signal via the E-net compensator (A28/3) from the telephone and fax antenna (A2/22) (model 463.247/248/249/270/271/340/341) or via the radio and cell phone antenna splitter (A28/1) (model 463.254/303) from the radio and cell phone antenna (A28) (model 463.254/303).

The caller is shown on the display of the mobile phone and this information is sent simultaneously to the UPCI [UHI] (Universal Cell phone Interface) control unit (N123/1). The UPCI [UHI] (Universal Cell phone Interface) control unit transmits the signals to the audio control unit via Media Oriented System Transport (MOST).

With model 463.247/254/303/340 or with model 463.248/270/341 without code (E66) Sound system (Harman/Kardon) the audio output is provided by the audio control unit via direct lines to the:

With model 463.249/271 or with model 463.248/270/341 with code (E66) Sound system (Harman/Kardon) the audio output is provided by the audio control unit via the sound system amplifier to the speakers and also via the:

At the same time the audio control unit reduces the volume of the currently active audio source (e.g. radio) by 15 dB. The audio source is not muted until the user accepts the call.

When in hands-free mode, the user can accept a call in one of the following ways:

IMPORTANT The LIN converter (N135) reads in the multifunction steering wheel button groups voltage-coded and relays the signals to the steering column tube module (N80) via the local interconnect network (LIN).
