Removing and installing module box - AR54.20-P-2360Q

MODIFICATION NOTES

20.1.04 Disconnect/connect/remove ground lead from battery
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/Install     
1 Remove wiper system   AR82.30-P-6400P
2 Remove air intake grille on engine hood    
3 Remove obstructions hindering access to electrical lines for windshield washer nozzles and sun sensor as far as module box (4)    
4 Remove front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1)   AR54.21-P-1260P 
5 Remove driver side front seat   AR91.10-P-1000Q
6 Remove cover below left of instrument panel   AR68.10-P-1500P
7 Remove bottom section of dashboard on driver's side   AR68.10-P-1505Q
8 Take out foam damper (1) IMPORTANT Observe installation position of foam impact absorber (1).  
9 Remove brake pedal cover (2)    
10 Remove cover of foot-operated parking brake (3)    
11 Remove accelerator pedal   AR30.12-P-1321P
12 Remove left front floor covering   AR68.20-P-2050P
13 Detach electrical lines for accelerator pedal from vehicle floor and pull back to module box (4)    
14 Unplug electrical connectors at parking brake indicator switch (S12)    
15 Remove side trim in left side of rear compartment Model 209.3 AR68.30-P-4780Q
16 Remove paneling in luggage compartment Model 209.3 AR68.30-P-4600PB
17 Disconnect electrical connectors (5)    
18 Detach electrical lines to yaw rate and lateral acceleration sensor (B24/15) from vehicle floor and pull back as far as module box (4)    
19 Disconnect plug connectors in left front inner door sill IMPORTANT Note correct installation positions.  
20 Disconnect plug connectors in left rear inner door sill IMPORTANT Note correct installation positions.  
21 Detach electrical lines from vehicle floor and pull back as far as module box (4)    
22.1 Disconnect plug connectors (6) for pneumatic headlamp range adjustment in left front inner door sill Only on vehicles without Code (614) bi-xenon headlamp unit
IMPORTANT Note correct installation positions.
 
23 Release pneumatic lines from vehicle floor and pull back as far as module box (4)    
24 Take off separable cable ducts from module box (4) IMPORTANT Note correct installation positions.  
25 Unscrew nut from ground (left inner door sill) (W28/1)    
26 Take off electric cables    
27 Pull back remaining cable harnesses to module box (4)    
28 Unscrew bolts (7) and remove module box (4)    
29 Install in the reverse order    
30 Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, read out and erase fault memory    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
Diagnosis system STAR DIAGNOSIS *WH58.30-Z-1048-13A 
31 Perform function check
