Remove/install front seat - AR91.10-P-1000Q

23.5.06 "Disconnect/connect battery ground line" removed
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units. Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply. AS91.00-Z-0001-01A 
NOTES Notes on performing repair, body work and welding on vehicles with airbags or emergency tensioning retractor units   AH91.00-P-0002-01M 
NOTES Notes on seat occupied recognition As of 1.6.04 with code (494) USA version, front passenger seat AH91.60-P-0760-01P

1 Move left and right head restraint (2) down On vehicles without code (P98) Black Series  
2 Move steering wheel all the way up and to the front When removing driver seat.  
3 Move left and right front seat (1) toward the front    
4 Remove rear bolts (3) from seat rails TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA91.10-P-1001-01A 
5 Remove bracket (7) and unthread seat belt (8) from front seat (1) On vehicles with code (P98) Black Series and without code (494) USA version  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA91.40-P-1001-01A 
6 Position front seat (1) to rear    
7 Remove fire extinguisher When removing driver seat on vehicles with code (682) Fire extinguisher and without code (P98) Black Series.  
8 Remove front bolts (4) from seat rails TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA91.10-P-1001-01A 
9 Unclip and remove covers (5) at front and rear    
10.1 Disconnect electrical connectors from driver seat connector block (X55/3) or front passenger seat connector block On vehicles without code (P98) Black Series or on vehicles with code (494) USA version and code (P98) Black Series  
10.2 Disconnect electrical connector (9) on underside of seat On vehicles with code (P98) Black Series and without code (494) USA version  
11 Remove front seat (1) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure the locking bolts are seated correctly.  
12 Install in the reverse order
