The vehicle must have a chassis alignment check after the lower transverse control arm is installed

Step 11

	Remove/Install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

1	Remove front wheel
	Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary		AP40.10-P-4050Z
2	Detach lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105M
3	Remove torsion bar (10).	The torsion bar (10) must be removed due to the accessibility of the nuts of the lower transverse control arm (4) on the front axle carrier.	AR32.20-P-0300IW
4	Detach suspension strut (40) at top of C-bracket (40e)		*BA32.25-P-1010-04B
5	Detach brake line bracket on C-bracket (40e)
6.1	Detach C-bracket (40e) on lower transverse control arm (4)	If necessary Check ball joint boot in lower transverse control arm (4) for damage and replace lower transverse control arm if necessary. Installation:  The bolts (40f), after being turned in, must be flush with the C-bracket (40e) or be slightly recessed into it.

9	Detach lower wishbone (4) from front axle carrier	When repair kit is installed:  The hexagon bolt must not be turned. When loosening the nut, the hexagon screw must be counterheld, as the fixing lugs for caster adjustment in the rubber mount are otherwise sheared off. Installation:  Note installation position if repair bolts have already been installed. Install repair bolts and washers in the same position again. Installation:  Only tighten nuts when the vehicle is in the curb condition.
