Remove/install rear window - AR67.20-P-2000P

MODIFICATION NOTES

23.5.06 "Disconnect/connect ground line on battery" removed    
REMOVING Removing     
NOTES Notes on removing and installing rear window Model 203.0 AH67.20-P-2000-01P 
1 Prepare glue cartridge   AR67.10-P-1000-07N
    2-component repair kit for installing glued window panes *BR00.45-Z-1015-02A 
2 Open window in driver door.    
3 Remove moldings from C-pillar IMPORTANT Only loosen paneling, seat belt remains in installation position. AR68.30-P-4490P
4 Detach electrical connections for window heater and antennas at C-pillar IMPORTANT Fasten to rear window with adhesive tape.  
5 Cover over rear shelf    
6 Remove water deflector IMPORTANT Left and right. AR88.85-P-2100P
7 Unscrew telephone antenna    
8 Remove rubber channel from rear window IMPORTANT Begin removing in center at bottom.  
9 Mask over window opening at top and side of body    
10 Open trunk lid    
11 Remove cover from rear fender IMPORTANT Left and right.  
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by slipping when clamping blade in the multicutter and by glass splinters when cutting out bonded windows IMPORTANT Clamp blade and remove only when air supply interrupted.
Wear protective gloves and safety glasses.

12 Cut rear window out of with cutting blade   AR67.20-P-2000-02P

13 Remove rear window from body with suction cups COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS Cup suction tool *WE58.40-Z-1029-11A 
INSTALLING Install     
14 Install rubber channel on window    
15 Line up rear window in the body opening   AR67.20-P-2000-04P 
    SPECIAL TOOL Feeler gauge Figure
16 Prepare window for installation IMPORTANT When replacing window replace antenna system. Refer to ↓ AR67.10-P-1000-03P 
    Remove/install antenna amplifier module AR82.62-P-8300P
    Remove/install global positioning system (GPS) antenna AR82.61-P-7474P
    Remove/install antenna AR82.70-P-8951P
17 Prepare body flange for installation of window   AR67.10-P-1501-01P 
    NOTES Cutting blade Figure
18 Replace silicon semi-conductors for ground connections NOTES Antennas otherwise are not operative.  
19 Apply glue IMPORTANT Height of glue bead approx. 13 mm. AR67.10-P-1000-08P 
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS Betagun 2K electric cartridge gun *WH58.30-Z-1002-20A 
20 Install rear window IMPORTANT Curing time is approx. 1 hour, measured from the time the window is installed. AR67.20-P-2000-05P 
      *BE67.20-P-1001-01E 
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS Cup suction tool *WE58.40-Z-1029-11A 
21 Install cover at rear fender IMPORTANT Left and right.  
22 Close trunk lid    
23 Screw on telephone antenna    
24 Install water deflector IMPORTANT Left and right. AR88.85-P-2100P
25 Fit together electrical connections for window heater and antennas at C-pillar    
26 Install molding onto C-pillar   AR68.30-P-4490P
27 Clean rear window
