Function prerequisites
- No overvoltage/undervoltage
- circuit 15 off and
- circuit 15R off and
- circuit 15c off detected
Convenience closing of the vehicle is performed with the aid of the transmitter key (infrared remote control) or at the lock switches. All side windows are moved down together for the convenience opening function.
Convenience closing of the front power windows
The door control module (N69/1) or (N69/2)
receives over CAN the request for convenience closing and then actuates the power window motor (M10/3) or (M10/4)
. The motor is at most actuated until the door control module detects through position recognition
that the window is closed. When operating using the transmitter key or lock switch

) the convenience closing function of the power window is also performed for non-normalized windows.
Convenience closing of the rear power windows
The roll bar (RB)/soft-top operation control module (N52) receives over CAN the request for convenience closing and then directly actuates the power window motors (M10/5) and (M10/6) . The motors are at most actuated until N52 detects through position recognition that the window is completely open.
Interruption of convenience closing function
The convenience closing function is aborted if
- the request over CAN is no longer received or
- lock-up of the power window is detected or
- the function requirements listed above are no longer satisfied.
