The convenience opening of the vehicle is performed with the aid of the transmitter key (infrared remote control) or at the lock switches. All side windows are moved down together for the convenience opening function.
Convenience opening of the front power windows
Each door control module (N69/1) or (N69/2) receives over CAN the request for convenience opening and then actuates the power window motor (M10/3) or (M10/4) . The motor is at most actuated until the door control module detects through position recognition that the window is completely open. The convenience opening function of the power window is also performed for non-normalized windows.
Convenience opening of the rear power windows
The roll bar (RB)/soft-top operation control module (N52) receives over CAN the request for convenience opening and then directly actuates the power window motors (M10/5) and M10/6 . The motors are at most actuated until N52 detects through position recognition that the window is completely open.
Interruption of convenience opening function
The convenience opening function of the power windows is aborted if:
- the request over CAN is no longer received or
- lock-up of the power window is detected or
- the function requirements listed above are no longer satisfied.
