The panoramic sliding roof is divided into a movable front glass panel with an opening 1/3 larger than in the sedans, and a stationary rear glass panel. When opened, the panoramic sliding roof slides outward over the stationary rear glass panel. Additional sun protection is provided by two electrically operated roller blinds installed in the center bar of the roof.

Function

The panoramic sliding roof combines sliding and tilting roof functions.

When operated, it first moves into the tilt position. After that the open sliding roof function can be executed.

The roof is operated by means of the roof system switch (N70s1) in the overhead control panel.

The roof system switch (N70s1) can be used to deploy the following functions:

Manual opening/closing of panoramic sliding roof
Automatic one-touch opening of panoramic sliding roof
Manual tilting/closing of panoramic sliding roof

The convenience feature with the sub-functions convenience closing and convenience opening closes/opens the panoramic sliding roof by means of the "Lock"/

"Unlock" buttons on the transmitter key (A8/1).
