Removing and installing front floor covering (left) - AR68.20-P-2050G

REMOVING Removal     
1 Remove front seat   AR91.10-P-1000G
2 Remove rear center console   AR68.20-P-2020G 
3 Remove cover on center console   AR68.20-P-2350G 
4 Remove ashtray housing with stowage compartment in front of center console   AR68.20-P-2410G 
5 Remove air outlet cover in footwell   AR68.10-P-1530G 
6 Remove paneling in left footwell   AR68.30-P-4010G 
7 Remove pedal cover    
8 Remove accelerator pedal IMPORTANT For this purpose unscrew nuts (2 each, 10 mm) and remove accelerator pedal from welded pin  
9 Unhook ruffled pocket (1) and remove    
10 Disconnect connector from parking brake switch and expose lead    
11 Unscrew plugs (2 and 3) and remove rear edge guard (4) in lower area    
12 Cut through floor covering (5) along dotted line with a sharp knife NOTES . Do not damage electrical and pneumatic lines!
IMPORTANT Cut single-piece floor covering (5) along dotted lines in order to avoid time-consuming removal of the heater or air conditioning.
 
13 Remove floor covering (5) below center console IMPORTANT Lift at rear and remove from vehicle
NOTES Lay floor covering (5) down on clean surface
 
INSTALLING Installation     
14 Prepare floor covering (5) for installation NOTES Before installing floor covering, clean vehicle passenger compartment in area of floor covering.
IMPORTANT When replacing the floor covering cut the new floor covering along the dotted line with a sharp knife and remove the section below the heater (shaded area)
 
15 Install floor covering (5) IMPORTANT Insert cut edge in front area below center console while simultaneously guiding the parking brake lever, kick-down switch, welded pin for the accelerator pedal and electrical leads for the driver's seat through (arrows).  
16 Expose lines in area of center console and attach the two halves of the floor covering at the front and rear with clips (6, 2 each) along the cutting line IMPORTANT For this purpose cut slits in both floor covering halves with blade and insert clips (6).  
17 Reinstall in opposite order IMPORTANT starting with step 11
