| 4 | Close engine hood | ||
| 5 | Check gaps between engine hood and fender, correct if necessary. | ||
| Adjust engine hood | AR88.40-P-3020E | ||
| 6 | Open engine hood | ||
| 7 | Tighten screws on engine hood lock top section | ||

| 8 | Press locking lever (3) on engine hood lock bottom section completely down | ||
| 9 | Check function of engine hood lock bottom section | In the event of malfunctions replace engine hood lock bottom section. Refer to:↓ |

| 10 | Press control hook (4) toward front | ||
| 11 | Release control hook (4) | ||
| 12 | Pull safety hook (5) with handle (6) on radiator paneling several times toward front. | ||

| 14 | Smoothly position engine hood on upper frame cross member. | Safety hook (5) should catch automatically. |
