Speed-sensitive steering when vehicle stationary function - GF46.50-P-2500B

Full power is applied to the speed-sensitive power steering solenoid valve (Y10) which is therefore closed. The pressure in the reaction chambers is equalized since the flow of pressure oil is stopped.

There is no force exerted on the reaction piston (4l). Additional reaction moment is not generated. The steering is easy since the steering wheel torque required by the driver, which involves overpowering the torsion-bar spring, is very low.

A reaction piston (4l), two check valves (4m, 4n), a cutoff valve (4p) and two restrictor orifices (8a, 8b) are also integrated in the rotary slide housing.

The reaction piston (4l) is positioned above and connected to the pilot sleeves by means of a bell screw. The piston is connected to the rotary slide by axially arranged ball guides (4s).
