Definition 

The positions of the driver-side outside rearview mirror (M21/6) and electrically adjustable right outside mirror (M21/2)  can be stored in three memory locations.

The seat position of the driver's seat is stored simultaneously with the mirror position. The seat position is stored in the driver-side ESA control module (with memory) (N32/1)  , the positions of the outside rearview mirrors are stored in the front driver-side door control module (N69/1)  and front passenger-side door control module (N69/2)  .

Function 

To store the mirror positions set at the moment press the memory switch (S91/2s9)  and then the desired memory button 1 (S91/2s6), 2 (S91/2s7)  or 3 (S91/2s8)  within 3 seconds. Unless the outside rearview mirror adjustment switch is actuated simultaneously the front driver-side door control module (N69/1)  transmits a CAN message to the driver-side ESA control module (with memory) (N32/1)  and to the front passenger-side door control module (N69/2)  . The door control modules each check whether the position measurement  values are valid. If so these values are stored in the door control module.

During the storage operation adjustment of the rearview mirrors is not possible, a CAN message to adjust the mirrors is ignored by the door control modules.
