Triggering anti-theft alarm (ATA), function - GF80.50-P-2004F
MODEL 202, 208, 210 as of 1.6.98 with CODE (551a) Anti-theft alarm
Illustrated on model 202 sedan with code 882 (interior motion sensor)
The anti-theft alarm (ATA) can be triggered by
- actuation of an exterior surface contact
- the anti-towing sensor (AS)
- the alarm signal siren with additional battery (H3/1)
On vehicles with code 882 (interior motion sensor) in addition by:
- the interior motion sensor (IMS).
Assuming that the corresponding inputs have been activated by activation of the ATA .
Function sequence
The activated inputs are checked three times per second in series by the PSE control module (combined) (A37) .
If two sequential checks of the same input do not indicate the non-activated state, the PSE activates an acoustic as well as an optical alarm .
Moreover, on vehicles with code 491 (
) a panic alarm can be triggered with the panic switch
on the infrared remote control key.
