Fuel Injector Operation Inspection

NOTE:
- Perform the procedure with the M-MDS connected to the DLC-2.
- Start the engine and perform the procedure with the engine warmed up.
- Perform a KOER self-test and verify that DTCs P0201:00, P0202:00, P0203:00, or P0204:00 are not detected. (Refer to [DTC INSPECTION
] in the troubleshooting service information)
DTC P0201:00, P0202:00, P0203:00 or P0204:00 is detected
- Inspect for possible causes of detected DTCs in the order from the top. (Refer to DTC TABLE
in the troubleshooting service information)
- If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the fuel injector. (See FUEL INJECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL] ).
No DTC is detected
- Go to the next step.
- Inspect for possible causes of detected DTCs in the order from the top. (Refer to DTC TABLE
in the troubleshooting service information)
- Monitor the engine speed [ENG_RPM] signal using the PID/data monitor function. (Refer to [PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION ] in the troubleshooting service information)
- Using the PID [INJ] simulation function, verify that PID [ENG_RPM] decreases when operation of each injector is stopped. (Refer to [SIMULATION INSPECTION
] in the troubleshooting service information)
- If there is no decrease, perform the following procedure.
- Inspect the resistance for the fuel injectors. (See RESISTANCE INSPECTION )
- If there is no malfunction in the fuel injectors, inspect the connection condition of the following connectors for the applicable cylinders.
- ECM
- Fuel injector
- If there is a malfunction in the connection condition of the connector, repair or replace the malfunctioning location.
- If the connection condition of the connectors is normal, replace the fuel injectors. (See FUEL INJECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL] ).
- If there is no decrease, perform the following procedure.
