DTC P0460-00: Fuel Gauge Sender Unit Circuit Malfunction

P0460-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Fuel gauge sender unit circuit malfunction
Detection condition	The PCM monitors the fuel gauge sender unit output signal. If the difference between maximum and minimum value of input signal is not standard or more, the PCM determines that there is a fuel gauge sender unit circuit malfunction. Precondition The following DTCs are not detected: Fuel gauge sender unit: P0462:00 and P0463:00
Fail-safe	Not applicable
Possible cause	DTCs are stored in the PCM. (P0462:00, P0463:00 or U0323:00) (See P0462:00 [PCM (VIN Y)] .) (See P0463:00 [PCM (VIN Y)] .) (See P1380:00 [PCM (VIN Y)] .) Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between electrical supply unit (ESU) and fuel gauge sender unit (main) (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CLEARING DTC .) Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between electrical supply unit (ESU) and fuel gauge sender unit (sub) (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CLEARING DTC .) Fuel gauge sender unit (main) malfunction (Refer to FUEL GAUGE SENDER UNIT INSPECTION in the service information.) Fuel gauge sender unit (sub) malfunction (Refer to FUEL GAUGE SENDER UNIT INSPECTION in the service information.) Electrical supply unit (ESU) malfunction (Refer to ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT (ESU) INSPECTION in the service information.) PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
