DTC P0010-00: Electric Variable Valve Timing Circuit Range/Performance Problem

P0010:00 (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Electric variable valve timing circuit range/performance problem
Detection condition	Any one of the following conditions is met: A malfunction is detected in the results of the on-board diagnostic test received from the electric variable valve timing driver. The motor speed signal received from the electric variable valve timing driver is in error.
Fail-safe	Stops activation of the electric variable valve timing driver.
Possible cause	DTCs are stored in the PCM. (P1380:00) (See P1380-00: .) Electric variable valve timing relay malfunction (Refer to RELAY INSPECTION in service information.) Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between electric variable valve timing relay and electric variable valve timing motor/driver (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between electric variable valve timing motor/driver and PCM (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) Electric variable valve timing driver malfunction (Refer to ELECTRIC VARIABLE VALVE TIMING DRIVER CONTROL INSPECTION in the service information.) Electric variable valve timing motor malfunction (Refer to ELECTRIC VARIABLE VALVE TIMING MOTOR UNIT INSPECTION in the service information.) PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
