EGR Valve Operation Inspection

- Verify that the MAP sensor is normal. (See MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR INSPECTION (VIN Y) .)
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Start the engine.
- Access the following PCM PIDs using the M-MDS.

- EGR_STEP_MOTOR_POS
- EGR_COMD
- Verify the [EGR_STEP_MOTOR_POS] PID value when the simulation item [EGR_COMD] increases from 0 % to 100 %.
- If the [EGR_STEP_MOTOR_POS] does not operate:
- Perform the EGR valve resistance inspection. (See RESISTANCE INSPECTION .)
- If the [EGR_STEP_MOTOR_POS] does not operate:
