Resistance inspection

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Disconnect the EGR valve connector. (See EGR VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
- Measure the resistance at the following terminals:
- EGR valve terminal A-EGR valve terminal C
- EGR valve terminal E-EGR valve terminal C
- EGR valve terminal B-EGR valve terminal D
- EGR valve terminal F-EGR valve terminal D
EGR valve resistance (specification)
8.0-9.0 ohms [20°C {68°F}]
- If not within the specification, replace the EGR valve. (See EGR VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) .)
