Dashboard Removal

Replacement part

Location use: Dashboard
WARNING:
  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Glove compartment (without passenger-side knee air bag module) (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Passenger-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Passenger-side knee air bag module (with passenger-side knee air bag module) (See KNEE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA/ISRAEL SPEC.] .)
    9. Driver-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    10. Hood release lever (See HOOD RELEASE LEVER AND RELEASE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    11. Shift lever knob (MTX) (See SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)

    37. Dashboard side cover (See DASHBOARD SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    38. Rear heat duct No. 1 (See REAR HEAT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    39. Windshield wiper arm and blade (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    40. Cowl grille (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the connectors and remove wiring harness clips A, B and C.

  4. Disconnect the connectors.

  5. Disconnect the connectors and remove wiring harness clip.

  6. Remove the bolt.

  7. Disconnect the connectors.
  8. Remove the bolts and nuts shown in the figure below.

  9. Remove the dashboard bracket.
  10. Remove the hose.

  12. To prevent scratches or damage, affix protective tape to the position shown in the figure below of the windshield.

  13. Remove the bolt.

  14. Move the dashboard in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure below, then remove the guides.

  15. Rotate the dashboard in the direction shown in the figure below.

  16. Take the dashboard off from the front driver-side door or front passenger-side door opening.
