WINDSHIELD FOGGED DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	VERIFY THAT THERE IS COOL AIRFLOW Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on). Set the airflow volume control dial to 1 or more. Is there cool airflow from the vent?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Perform the applicable symptom troubleshooting. (See AIR FROM VENTS NOT COLD ENOUGH .)
2	VERIFY DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT DTCs Perform the DTC inspection for the dash-electrical supply unit. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [DASH_ESU] .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	INSPECT AIR INTAKE LINK Inspect the air intake actuator, air intake link for the following items. Is grease on link? Are links securely and properly installed? Are links free of obstructions and hindrances? Are the above items normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Apply grease or securely install to the correct positions. If there is a malfunction in the air intake link, replace the air intake link. (Refer to BLOWER UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.) (Refer to BLOWER UNIT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY in service information.) (Refer to [AIR INTAKE LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in service information.) Perform the repair completion verification 1.
4	VERIFY AIR INTAKE ACTUATOR FOR MALFUNCTION Inspect the applicable part. (Refer to AIR INTAKE ACTUATOR INSPECTION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER] , or AIR INTAKE ACTUATOR INSPECTION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER] in service information.) Is the part normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
4		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification 1. (Refer to AIR INTAKE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER] , or AIR INTAKE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER] in service information.)
5	VERIFY AIR INTAKE DOOR FOR MALFUNCTION Inspect the applicable part. (Refer to BLOWER UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.) (Refer to BLOWER UNIT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY in service information.) (Refer to [AIR INTAKE LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in service information.) Is the part normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
5		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification 1.
6	INSPECT WIRING HARNESS (INCLUDING CONNECTOR/TERMINAL) BETWEEN AIR INTAKE ACTUATOR AND DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT FOR MALFUNCTION Inspect the applicable circuit. (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) Is the circuit normal?	Yes	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1. If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the climate control unit and perform the repair completion verification 1. (Refer to CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER] , or CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER] in service information.)
6		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification 1.
Repair completion verification 1	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS CORRECTED Does the malfunction symptom recur?	Yes	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1. If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the dash-electrical supply unit. (Refer to [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in service information.)
Repair completion verification 1		No	Troubleshooting completed. (Explain repair contents to customer.)
