Parking Brake Lever Boot Panel Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the following parts:
    1. Selector lever knob (AT) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Shift lever knob (MT)
    3. Shift panel component (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Insert a remover tool into the position shown in the illustration.

  3. Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and detach the clip from the rear console.
  4. Insert a remover tool into the position shown in the illustration.

  5. Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and detach the clip from the rear console.
  6. Remove the boot from the parking brake lever hook.

  7. Move the parking brake lever boot panel in the direction of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the illustration and remove it.

  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
