Position sensor inspection

- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine on).
- Display PID [R_VENT_ACTAT_POS] using the M-MDS. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION .) (See PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT (US)] .)
- Operate the MODE switch or DEFROSTER switch.
- Verify that the PID value switches according to the MODE switch or DEFROSTER switch operation.
- If the PID value does not switch, replace the rear vent actuator. (See REAR VENT ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (AUTO A/C) .)
