Front Drain Hose Removal/Installation (Us)

WARNING:
  • Handling the air bag module improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Read the air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the driver-side air bag module.
  1. Perform the headliner preparation. (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
  3. Remove the following parts:
    1. A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    2. Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Passenger-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    8. Driver-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    9. Shift lever knob (MTX)
    10. Selector lever knob (ATX) (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

    48. Front seat belt lower anchor (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

    56. Rear console bracket No. 1 (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    57. Headliner (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
  4. Remove the bolt. (to remove from LH side)

  5. Remove the wiring harness bracket while detaching the clip. (to remove from LH side)
  6. Remove the fasteners.

  7. Remove the wiring harness clip.
  8. Set the dashboard lower insulator aside.
  9. Remove the bolts and nuts.

  10. Remove the dash gusset.
  11. Disconnect the front drain hose from the sunroof unit.

  12. Spread hook A in the directions of arrows (1), pull the front drain hose in the direction of arrow (2), and remove it from hook A.

  13. Remove the front drain hose in the direction of arrow (3) from hooks B.
  14. Spread hooks C in the directions of arrows (4), pull the front drain hose in the direction of arrow (5), and remove it from hook C.
  15. Remove the front drain hose in the direction of arrow (1) from the grommet.

  16. Remove the grommet in the direction of arrows (2), (3) shown in the illustration.
  17. Remove the front drain hose.
  18. Install in the reverse order of removal.
