Rear Spoiler Removal

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)] .)
- Remove the side spoiler. (See SIDE SPOILER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the litigate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the connector and remove the wiring harness from the hook.
- Disengage the grommet tabs from the liftgate.
- Remove the caps.
- Remove the nuts.
- Insert a remover tool in the position shown in the illustration.
- Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and disengage the rear spoiler clip from the liftgate.CAUTION:
- Remove the rear spoiler using two people. Otherwise, it may fall off and be damaged.
- Pull the rear spoiler in the direction of the arrows and remove it while detaching the pins and clips.
- Remove the rear spoiler while pulling out the wiring harness.NOTE:
- When replacing the rear spoiler, remove the high-mount brake light. (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
