Rear Spoiler Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)] .)
  2. Remove the side spoiler. (See SIDE SPOILER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the litigate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Disconnect the connector and remove the wiring harness from the hook.

  5. Disengage the grommet tabs from the liftgate.
  6. Remove the caps.

  7. Remove the nuts.

  8. Insert a remover tool in the position shown in the illustration.

  9. Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and disengage the rear spoiler clip from the liftgate.
    CAUTION:
    • Remove the rear spoiler using two people. Otherwise, it may fall off and be damaged.
  10. Pull the rear spoiler in the direction of the arrows and remove it while detaching the pins and clips.

  11. Remove the rear spoiler while pulling out the wiring harness.
