Rear Finisher Removal/Installation: Notes

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)] .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Side spoiler (See SIDE SPOILER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate garnish (See LIFTGATE GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate side trim (See LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate recess (See LIFTGATE RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Door lock switch (liftgate) (with door lock switch (liftgate)) (See DOOR LOCK SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(US)] .)
- Power liftgate (PLG) rear switch (with power liftgate (PLG)) (See POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) REAR SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate lower trim (See LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the nuts.
- Using a remover tool, remove the cap.
- Remove the screw.
- Using a remover tool, remove the clips.
- Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the illustration, rotate it in the direction of the arrow and detach the clips.
- Remove the rear finisher in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration while detaching the clips.
- Remove the grommet.
- Pull the wiring harness out of the vehicle body.
- Remove the clips remaining on the vehicle body and install them to the rear finisher.
- When removing the wiring harness, perform the following procedure:
- When removing the bracket, perform the following procedure:
- Install in the reverse order of removal. (See REAR FINISHER INSTALLATION NOTE .)NOTE:
- When replacing the rear finisher, remove the license plate light. (See LICENSE PLATE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- When replacing the rear finisher, remove the rear mount camera. (with rear mount camera) (See REAR MOUNT CAMERA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Perform the 360° view monitor system aiming. (with 360° view monitor system) (See 360°VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM AIMING .)
