Rear Console Removal/Installation (Us)
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Shift lever knob (MTX) (See appropriate service information)
- Selector lever knob (ATX) (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Console side panel (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front console box (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Cup holder (See CUP HOLDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Move the console panel in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3), and (4) shown in the illustration, and detach the clips.
- Remove the cushion tape.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the bolts.
- Move the rear console in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration, detach the guides from the center lower panel, and remove the rear console.
- When removing the rear console bracket No. 1, perform the following procedure:
- Remove the rear vent duct No. 2. (with rear vent duct) (See REAR VENT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the rear vent duct No. 1. (with rear vent duct) (See REAR VENT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the wiring harness clips.
- Remove the nuts.
- Remove the rear console bracket No. 1.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.NOTE:
- When replacing the console panel, remove the rear ventilator grille. (with rear vent duct) (See VENTILATOR GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
