Magnetic Clutch is Disassembled/Assembled with A/C Compressor Equipped to Vehicle: Notes

WARNING:
  • If A/C compressor operation is performed, do not start the engine. Otherwise, the drive belt could get caught and cause an accident.
  1. Remove the following parts:
    1. Wheel and tire (RF) (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Front splash shield No. 1 (RH) (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Front under cover No. 2 (See FRONT UNDER COVER No. 2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Remove the fasteners.

  3. Remove the fasteners.

  4. Bend back the front side of the front over fender (RH) as shown in the figure.
  5. Remove the fasteners.

  6. Remove screws A.
  7. Bend back the front under cover No. 1 in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.
  8. Remove screws B.
  9. Bend back the front side of the mudguard (RH) in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

  10. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.

    COMPONENT DESCRIPTION

    1 Bolt
    (See Bolt removal/installation note .)
    2 Pressure plate
    3 Shim
    4 Drive Belt
    (See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5 Snap ring
    6 A/C compressor pulley
    7 Snap ring
    8 Stator
    (See Stator removal/installation note .)
  11. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
  12. Adjust the magnetic clutch clearance. (See MAGNETIC CLUTCH ADJUSTMENT .)
